Graphic design and marketing have the power to influence how we see the world and live our lives. My goal is to expand beyond the common misconception that a graphic designer is someone whose only job is to make things look “pretty”. As a graphic designer, not only it is my job to create and execute messages, ideas and experiences, then bring those ideas to life through visual and textual content. It is also my job to create a visual hierarchy to guide the viewers’ eyes through the work. While working on all of my designs I always ask myself, is my design fulfilling its purpose of getting the message across to the audience?
